THE MAHINEPUA COAST EXPLORATION

Two days of paradise NOA style. For this little beauty we set up base at our local whanau campground run by the awesome hapu (tribe) of Mahinepua. We now have time to fully explore this stunning pacific subtropical playground. Due to the varied contours and directions of this coast we always enjoy safe easy paddling with the bonus of clear blue waters delivered by the tropical current stream usually only accessible on outer coastal areas. Once again take all the highlights from the Mahinepua day trip above but now we can show you north and south, give you more time on the golden beaches, snorkelling the reefs, hunting out crayfish and enjoying this amazing piece of coast. You can wander off in the afternoon/evening and explore the great DoC track along the peninsula and capture some amazing photos of the surrounding coast and Cavalli islands. You may want to have some fishing fun and set out the long-line for a chance to catch a snapper for dinner or spy some of the endangered shorebirds that feed in the bay. We supply totally comfy camping with air mattresses, tents and for larger groups a retro 1970’s caravan as base camp. So no roughing it on this adventure, just pure enjoyment!
